Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? Does prayer make a difference? Alpha is a place to explore the Christian faith, meet new people, and talk about the questions that matter to you.
Whether you are curious, doubtful, returning to faith, or hoping to grow in it, you are welcome. Come as you are, with your questions.

Tuesday mornings

10:00–11:30 a.m.
Enjoy light refreshments, an engaging video, and conversation in a welcoming small group.
Thursday evenings
Beginning October 15, 2026
6:30–8:45 p.m.
Share dinner, watch an engaging video, and explore your questions together in a small group. Dinner is included at no charge.
What happens at Alpha?
1. Connect
We begin with time to get to know one another over refreshments on Tuesdays or dinner on Thursdays.
2. Explore
A short video introduces a question about life and the Christian faith, such as who Jesus is, what faith means, or why we pray.
3. Discuss
Share your thoughts and hear other perspectives in a small group. Honest questions are welcome, and you can simply listen if you prefer.

A few questions you might have
Do I need to be Catholic or attend St. Maurice?
No. Alpha explores the Christian faith and welcomes people of all backgrounds and beliefs. You do not need to be Catholic or a member of our parish to attend.
What if I know very little about Christianity?
You do not need any previous knowledge. Alpha is a place to ask questions, explore, and learn alongside others.
Will I have to speak in the group?
No. You are welcome to share your thoughts, but there is no obligation to speak. Listening is welcome too.
How much does it cost?
Alpha is free. Tuesday morning refreshments and Thursday evening dinners are included.
Can I come on my own or bring a friend?
Both are welcome. Come on your own and meet new people, or invite someone to join you. Alpha at St. Maurice is for adults aged 18 and older.
What if I have dietary restrictions or other questions?
The registration form includes a space for Thursday dinner allergies and dietary restrictions. For questions about either session or your participation, contact alpha@stmauriceparish.com.

Who could you invite?
Is there someone in your life who is asking questions about faith, looking for meaning, or hoping to connect with others? Consider inviting a friend, family member, neighbour, or colleague to Alpha—and offering to attend with them.
Start with prayer, make the invitation personal, and give them room to decide. A warm invitation can open the door to a meaningful conversation.
